The Pikes Place Market
Created in 1907, and located in Seattle's downtown, the Pikes Place Market is the oldest continually operating farmers' market in the US and is one of Seattle's biggest attractions. and brings millions of visitors and local shoppers each year. It is an interesting complex with multilevel buildings, outside stalls, street musicians and singers milling about on narrow side streets. There's fresh produce, sweets, unique foods, coffee shops and restaurants, and handmade arts and crafts, and wonderful fresh flowers at very affordable prices. Once acclimated to the huge summer-time crowds, its an exciting place to visit.
